BCCC Herding Instinct Certified Requirements

Requirements for Bearded Collie Club of Canada Herding Instinct Certified Title:

1. The title “Herding Instinct Certified (HIC) will be awarded by the BCCC to a dog who has achieved a passing score at a BCCC Herding Instinct Test

2. The BCCC will recognize the following as equivalent to having passed a BCCC Herding Instinct Test:
• BCCA Herding Instinct Certified certificate
• achievement of a passing score on “first leg” in the HCT class at an AHBA trial
• achievement of a passing score in the HT class of a CKC trial or AKC trial
• achievement of a passing score at an instinct test which uses the same criteria for judging as the BCCC

Where equivalency is the basis of requesting that a Beardie be recognized in the records of the BCCC as earning an HIC title, the owner must provide a copy of the test sheet/certificate, a copy of the Beardie's’s pedigree and a recording fee of $3.00.
